Elana

Elana Chavez has been working with dogs and cats since 2007.  She learned the basics at a kennel/grooming shop in Santa Cruz where she worked after graduating from UCSC.

When she migrated with friends to Oakland she found work at The Groom Room in Russian Hill, which was co-owned by Dave Passey.  Dave helped enrich her bathing and brushing skills and helped Elana further understand the importance of approaching each animal with compassion and intention.

Elana left The Groom Room shortly after Dave retired and started working with dogs in a new and different setting, at a large daycare boarding facility in Emeryville.

Elana is happy to have the opportunity to work with Dave again and join the team at VIP.
